Notes from the journey

For Lake Garda, the crisp white Otella Lucana is the wine of the lake slope and from the original producer of the type.

Then off to Friuli-Venezie Giulia to experience the Friuliano Grape that is indigenous to the region for 100+ years. The Luisa Winery specializes in growing this grape and creates some of the most famous white wines of the region.

While visiting the Luisa Winery, we are very impressed with their Cabernet Franc and Refosco Blend. A delicious red wine from a producer that is known for top quality wines.

Tough to leave the Luisa Winery, but a journey to the northeastern part of Italy wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Valpolicella, the famous region known for Amorone wines. We visit La Salette winery for a taste of their Valpolicella Classico.
