We started with the meat and cheese board, which honestly was not worth it. It came with two kinds of meats, two cheeses, olives, and roasted red peppers, which felt pretty underwhelming but u suppose reasonable for the price. The stuffed mushrooms were actually very good flavor wise, but unfortunately they arrived lukewarm. The garlic knots, however, were heavenly! easily one of the best parts of the meal . The meatballs were average but good. nothing memorable, and the calamari was nothing special either as the fish to batter ratio was off and left it a bit disappointing.

For entrées, my mom’s Shrimp Scampi & Linguini was overcooked and slimy, which was a letdown. My dad did enjoy his Rigatoni Pesto & Steak, so that was a highlight. The house salad was again nothing special, and my grilled chicken was burnt and unpleasantly sour. The fries were good (as fries usually are), but it was strange that the only condiment offered at first was ketchup. After asking again, we eventually found out they did have mayo.

Service was mixed. Our server switched halfway through the meal, and drinks took a while to come out. Both servers were sweet and attentive, but they weren’t very proactive about dealing with or asking the kitchen about simple modifications. That said, it was late and close to the end of the night, and as someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I understand how that can be tricky. Given the circumstances, they did a decent job, and we made sure to tip well because we appreciated their effort.

Dessert was definitely the strongest part of the meal. Everything we tried was delicious from the chocolate cake which was rich, fudgy, and mouthwatering, and the cheesecake and cannoli were just as good.

Overall, From the Boot was fine, with a few highs and misses. Not terrible, but not particularly impressive either.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Place was empty. Hostess without greeting asked if we had reservation. We were told we could eat at counter near bar. Ordered apps. Brushetta was delicious. Shrimp app. Had 4 small overcooked shrimp. At $16.00 I would pass on it. Had to ask for bread three times and it finally came after our entre course. Veal picata was tasty. However, pasta was either over cooked or under cooked as it was hard. Lafeyette Hill location should provide inservice. Overall from the front door to the bill I feel service and quality didnt represent the moderate to high price point. We took our desert to go. BTW. Three tables still open when we departed. Bad taste in our mouth all around.

Would highly recommend the Gnocchi pasta, both linguine and fettuccine dishes with the asparagus are not that well done unfortunately. The angle hair red sauce is quite fantastic as well. Tiramisu was quite light yet creamy and certainly delicious. Free bread in the form of garlic rolls and simple slices are provided with oil and oregano at the table.

were absolutely phenomenal. Reasonably priced as well.
